I’ve been trying to cope up with my non-productive days, due to Covid-19 Lockdown and testing some tips, tricks and techniques. This Lockdown has made us realize that the only thing important at this time is survival. But it’s been more than a year now, and some people like me are losing their mind because of such unproductive and useless days spend procrastinating and binge-watching.

Trust me, I’ve done everything in this lockdown. From Dalgona to WhatsApp housie games, From trying new recipes everyday to binge-watching the entire season in one night. I am sure everybody reading this piece is doing the same. But do you also feel that you are just wasting time? Thoughts of wasting your potential and energy strikes your mind? Are you guys also missing socializing and building clients? Well, some or the other way, We all want to get back to work ASAP and work harder.

Then what is the big problem here? Why don’t we just start working hard now? at the very next moment? Well, not as easy as it sounds. Lockdown has made us lazy and we have started enjoying this guilty pleasure of procrastinating all the time. So how to fix it?

I’ve been feeling the same and wanted to change my routine and make my day productive. So that at the end of the day, when I go to bed, I don’t feel shattered and worthless. I’m going to share this 2 techniques I’ve been using to make the best out of my day and rocking my self-confidence and motivation. Do try them out. They are very very easy and you’ll love the outcome it gets you, and that too from the very first time you try them.

1. Scheduling

Scheduling is power. I’m sure there are numerous things in your head, you wanted to do/try for forever, but keep on shifting them. We all have 24 hours of a day. Even if we sleep 8 hours and do our chores and routine for another 4 hours, we still have 6 hours to work, learn or do anything we want. But we often end up wasting them because there’s no track of time.

Time is money and money wasted never comes back. So we need to keep track of whatsoever we are doing and keep upgrading these routines every now and then. Scheduling your day will give you power over your time and direct your mind and energy to your goals and accomplishments.

I’ve been doing this for a month now and I feel calm, organized and efficient. Also, my days are much more productive and I’ve started completing all the to-do’s on time. Also, when you are scheduling your day, do not feel like you are restricting yourself for anything. Rather you’re making much bigger space in your head and giving yourself a direction to work ON. Ditching your routine will make you value every minute of your day, ending up to complete all of your chores, assignments and everything. ON TIME.

Other perks of scheduling

Scheduling helps you get clear on your purpose and helps you calendar your goals. Also, it keeps your well-being on priority, saving thoughts and energy for something useful.

It allows the prioritization of tasks and helps against procrastination.

Also, It’s good for your well-being.

2. Journaling

Research claims that journaling is the most effective and healthy habit, every one of us must have on a regular-basis. It helps us to clear our mind and have a happier life. Honestly, I tried it. I made a diary and started writing about my feeling, my thoughts, opinions, fears, every thing. Every single thing in my mind. If you’re an overthinker like me, this would relieve you from all the stress we have on our shoulders and head, all the time.

From the very first time I journalized, I’ve been feeling a lot better than I used to before. There are so many things in my mind, I wanted to do ( At least, I feel like I want to) but never had such clarity of thoughts. I was thinking to start learning and upgrading some of my skills, but lockdown had made me sluggish and slow-moving.

Journaling helped me clear my mind, retain my energy, and concentrate on useful thoughts, rather than just wasting time on unnecessary burden. Try this technique yourself, and I promise you won’t regret. And also, It will make you feel empowered.

Other benefits of journaling

It keep your thoughts organized and relieves stress to help you boost your memory and inspire creativity.

Journaling improves writing skills and helps one to self-reflect themselves.

Helps to set & achieve your goals.

I am not extending this article. Rather I want you to just give it a quick-read and try these 2 tricks. These are really helpful and if you put these in your daily routine, they are gonna change your life.

Let me know in the comments, your ways to make your day productive.

Spread love and positivity! ❤
